These bearings incorporate reinforced internal geometries, enhanced materials, and specialized designs to maximize load-carrying capacity and service life in heavy machinery applications.
Extra Heavy Duty Bearings
Characteristics: Through-hardened rather than case-carburized; thicker rings (custom internal design); full complement or large ball/roller size.
Advantages: 300% higher static load capacity than standard series bearings. Lifetime in hydraulic presses or rolling mills 50,000 hours vs. 5000 hours for standard due to reduced contact stress (<3000 MPa).
Technical Ceiling: Static load rating up to 500 kN (in a 120 mm bore); limited speed factor 200,000 DN (max 2000 rpm). Hardness 60–64 HRC uniformly.
Caution: Standard bearings will crush under these loads. Must use extreme-pressure EP grease. The shaft must be extremely rigid (deflection <0.1 mm); flexible shafts cause uneven load and fracture.
