Extra Heavy Duty Bearings are robust rolling bearings engineered to withstand extreme radial and axial loads, severe shock loads, and demanding operating conditions that exceed the capabilities of standard industrial bearings. These bearings incorporate reinforced internal geometries, enhanced materials, and specialized designs to maximize load-carrying capacity and service life in heavy machinery applications.
Extra Heavy Duty Bearings
Characteristics: Through-hardened rather than case-carburized; thicker rings (custom internal design); full complement or large ball/roller size.
Advantages: 300% higher static load capacity than standard series bearings. Lifetime in hydraulic presses or rolling mills 50,000 hours vs. 5000 hours for standard due to reduced contact stress (<3000 MPa).
Technical Ceiling: Static load rating up to 500 kN (in a 120 mm bore); limited speed factor 200,000 DN (max 2000 rpm). Hardness 60–64 HRC uniformly.
Caution: Standard bearings will crush under these loads. Must use extreme-pressure EP grease. The shaft must be extremely rigid (deflection <0.1 mm); flexible shafts cause uneven load and fracture.
